In the year 1978-79 Shri. Shivaji Education Society, Amravati established an Indepndent Junior College at Amravati for the students to provide the technical education. The Shivaji Education Society is the renowned educational society which is formed under the able guidance of Dr. Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh in 1932.

Students affection towards the Vocational courses is increasing day by day. So we are trying to provide good technical education to students. In our college we are running both vocational as well as MCVC course.

Due to Central Government's New Educational Policy the importance of these courses are enhance. Keeping this in mide the new courses were designed for the students. These type of courses can make specialised in one particular subject.

Student pass out from these courses can go for the higher education or get employment or he is able for self employment, this is the most appreciable benefit of these vocational courses. Also Government allows stipend for the student admitted for these courses from 1988, the duration of stipend is for 1 year only.

Subject diversification is more in these courses and therefore students get well experienced and knowledge, this is the base for vocational courses.
